About the Youth Company
The Columbus Ballet Youth Company is a pre-professional training program for dedicated young dancers who are ready to deepen their commitment to classical ballet and performance. Through a structured season of rigorous weekly classes, rehearsals, and stage opportunities, dancers refine their technique, artistry, and discipline in a supportive yet challenging environment. Emphasizing professionalism and personal growth, the Youth Company prepares students for higher-level training and future opportunities in dance while fostering a strong sense of community and passion for the art form.
The Program
The Youth Company program is designed to support the training and development of dedicated dancers, while providing meaningful performance opportunities and preparing students for college, professional careers, and personal growth. Through structured experiences, dancers also build discipline, confidence, and strong character.
Weekly Company Class (1x per week)
Participation in community outreach & fundraising events
Company members receive exclusive opportunities to perform in our fully staged ballet productions throughout the season, gaining valuable onstage experience.
2026/2027 Season
Nutcracker: December 12 & 13, 2026
Spring 2027 performance
Other events may include: community outreach, company functions, fundraisers, etc. The Youth Company offers a 10-month immersive training and performance experience running from August 2026 through May 2027.
