Administrative Director

The Columbus Ballet | Columbus, GA

The Columbus Ballet is seeking a contracted Administrative Director (part-time) to serve as the operational leader of our nonprofit organization. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional who values arts education and thrives in a collaborative environment. in-person role in Columbus, GA, will oversee:

  • Studio operations and enrollment

  • Financial administration (Xero preferred)

  • Donor stewardship and reporting

  • Production logistics (non-artistic)

  • Supervision of our Administrative Coordinator

Compensation: $30,000-$35,000 | One-Year Contract
Education Required: Associate’s Degree or higher
Arts/nonprofit experience preferred

Artistic Director, The Nutcracker

30th Anniversary Season – 2026 Production
The Columbus Ballet | Columbus, GA

The Columbus Ballet seeks a visionary and experienced Nutcracker Artistic Director to lead our 30th Anniversary production of The Nutcracker.

For three decades, this beloved holiday tradition has brought our community together. In this milestone season, we seek an Artistic Director who will honor the classical integrity and storytelling of The Nutcracker while elevating the production into a memorable and celebratory anniversary experience.

Key Dates

  • Auditions: August 22–23, 2026

  • Cast List Released: August 31, 2026

  • Rehearsals Begin: September 26, 2026

  • Tech Week: December 8–10, 2026

  • School Outreach Performance: December 11 at 10:30 AM

  • Full Dress Rehearsal: December 11 at 7:30 PM

  • Public Performances:

    • December 12 at 7:30 PM

    • December 13 at 2:30 PM

The Artistic Director will:

  • Establish and articulate the artistic vision for the 30th Anniversary production

  • Choreograph the full production or collaborate on select pieces while maintaining artistic cohesion

  • Lead auditions, casting, and rehearsals

  • Finalize and publish a full rehearsal schedule by August 22 and adhere to it throughout the season

  • Work closely with The Columbus Ballet staff and board to support auditions, casting, rehearsals, and production execution

  • Oversee all Tech Week and performance execution

This is a seasonal independent contractor position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
