The Columbus Ballet Summer Intensive 2026
Our Ballet Summer Intensive is a one-week immersive training experience designed for dedicated dancers seeking focused growth in technique and artistry.
Participants engage in rigorous daily classes in classical ballet and pointe, emphasizing strength, endurance, musicality, and refined technique, while also benefiting from wellness workshops that support healthy, sustainable training.
Dates: June 1-5, 2026
Ages: 10-21
Cost: $450 per dancer
Dancers must submit an application, headshot, and video to be considered. (There is no cost to submit an application)
Dancers will be divided into two groups based on skill level. Both groups will receive ballet technique, repertoire, contemporary, and wellness workshops
Red Group Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Blue Group Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 - 6:00 pm

Application Submission Process
Provide the following as part of your application:
Headshot: Please upload a photo of the dancer from the shoulders up. This does not need to be a professional photo. The purpose of the photo is to identify the dancer for instructors and staff. Maximum file size: 1 GB
First Arabesque Photo: Please upload a photo of the dancer's arabesque in ballet flat shoes (not en pointe). (See the example image.) Maximum file size: 1 GB
Video: Please submit a video of the elements listed below:
Barre: Combination of Pliés, Tendus, and Rond de Jambes
Center: Tendus, Adagio, Petit Allegro, and Grand Allegro
Please keep the video under 5 minutes. Maximum file size is 1 GB. Only one side needs to be shown for each combination. Framing of the video should show dancer’s full body throughout and not include any dancers other than the applicant. The video should not be any older than 3 months prior to submission date. Videos can be taken with a cell phone camera and should be positioned horizontally.
Note: If you are submitting a link to a video hosted on a website (Google, YouTube, etc.), please paste the link into a document and upload. Ensure that the video setting is set to public.
Applications acceptance will close at the end of the day May 15th. Applicants will be notified of acceptance, group placement, and assigned schedule on a rolling basis.
